6-A Primer in Stained Glass

Stained glass is both a craft and an art that remains mostly unchanged for centuries. This art still takes, as it did centuries ago, time, patience, skill, and an eye for design and color. This session introduces the participant to how various types of glass are manufactured and stained. Design and structure will be discussed as well as color and texture. The process of cutting, assembling, glazing, cleaning, and installing will be overviewed and demonstrated to the extent possible. Lastly, the malleability and a versatile application of stained glass will be considered. This program will be held at Huntsville Stained Glass, 508 Andrew Jackson Way NE, Huntsville, AL 35801.
