30-Front Porch Conversations

Topics of current social, philosophical, and political issues will be considered, with civility, in a structured environment that allows each class member to actively participate in the dialogue. The purpose of meaningful conversation is to come to an understanding of the other, not to determine if they are good, bad, right, or wrong. It requires deep reflection and the ability to disagree with others while respecting their sincerity and decency. Members will customize the course by choosing the topics and identifying questions to be considered. Min: 15 Max: 25
